[He lets out a soft sigh and snuggles his cheek against her. She has a point, Sora didn't want to bother with a grand party either. It was partly because of such a shift in who has left the island, too.]

You know how much I love you, right?

I do. [She pressed a kiss to his temple.] And I'm sorry that sometimes I make it seem like your love is not enough. [She inhaled and knew she had to say the next part and closed her eyes, hugging him a bit tighter.] And I'm... I'm even more sorry that I get jealous of how many loved ones from home you have.

[Sora's eyes widen a little at her confession. He feels hot in the face that he's spent so much time with his friends from home. He doesn't mean to make her feel that way. But he's also glad she told him.]

If I could change this world and bring everyone you love to you I'd do it in a heartbeat.

[And he still stands by what he told her once. That if she found a way to go home to see them all, she should do it. Regardless of any of the ties she has in this world, even him.]

[She presses a hand to her face, embarrassed and ashamed. She knew, she knew it wasn't his fault or choice or any of that. It wasn't ANYONE'S choice.

Yet here she was, jealous like some kind of child over a toy. She pulled away a little, ashamed.]

I know, I know, and god, I'm so sorry. [But after what happened in the tar pits she figured she should at least come clean.]

I'm sorry, Sora. It isn't your fault or your choice or any of that and I'm still...

You don't need to say sorry. Anyone would want to see their friends and loved ones and there's nothing wrong with that. We're all missing people from home and you care about them so much.

[He's not sure if that will make her feel much better. But they are all human and missing people is a human thing. He knows how much she wants them and how lonely it makes her. He doesn't blame her at all for feeling jealousy because of it.

He reaches to brush some of her hair back from her forehead.]

I just... I hate the idea of being jealous of you or anyone else here for something so out of anyone's control... [She leaned into his hand and closed her eyes.]

But I'm even more scared of them coming here and not even recognizing me. It's good that I'm growing and changing, but I don't want this... this wall to be there between me and them either. I'm a mess, Sora.

[He lets go of her to take her hand and picks up the box of cake as well.]

Might as well be a mess with cake, right?

[Smiling at her he tugs her gently to the kitchen to eat. He'll do all the serving up and plate gathering as well.]

And you know, Usagi... No matter how much you change I don't think they'd ever love you any less. Even if you dyed your hair green. You're just that special to them. Always. Your heart is so special that you're the connection that holds them all together. They'd never forget that.

So long as the cake isn't a mess. [She allowed herself to be tugged, she smiled a little and sat down where he told her to. When he mentioned she could dye her hair green, her mind instantly went to Emeraude and she blanched a little.

Still, he wasn't wrong and she closed her eyes and smiled.]

You're incredible, you know that? [She reached out for his hand, squeezing it.] You chase away my concerns and fears with hugs and kisses and just a few sentences.

[He squeezes her hand back and with his other, he passes her a fork for her plate of cake. He smiles.]

That's what little brothers are for, right? Guess I gotta work on annoying you more, though.

[His lips quirk into a bit of a grin.]

Someday, Usagi... You're gonna be happier than you can ever imagine. I know it.

Shingo-kun takes care of all the annoying part. [She smiled as she took the fork, her mind idly wandering back to her parents and her heart aching a little bit at the thought that she hasn't seen them in two years.

She looks up at him and smiles.]

That's probably gonna be my wedding day... and definitely my wedding night. [She winked.]

[Man, he really hopes he gets to meet Shingo someday.

But then Usagi is saying that and Sora pretends to make a face.]

Too much information.

Well, the day my daughter is born is a given, and not as much fun to tease about.

[He laughs warmly and the sticks a bite of cake in his mouth.]

Still! Spare the details!

I am sparing you the details. I could go on and on about where Mamoru likes to be kissed the most, about what makes him lose control real fast, his favorite places to kiss me and his favorite part of my body.

BUT I'm such a nice sister I'd never bring those up to you.

[He's quickly putting his hands over his ears.]

Ahhhh---!!!!!!!!

[And she'll take that opportunity to steal the last strawberry on his plate and pop it into her mouth.]

[HIS STRAWBERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

Ahh! Usagi!!

[He pretend to growl out! But really, he's seconds from laughing.]

Fine, since it's your birthday you can have that. I guess!

[She grinned as she chewed on it, resting her chin in her palm as she ate.]

No strawberry is safe around me, Sora.

[It's good to see her mood lifting. He grins.]

We'll see about that next time! Happy Birthday, Usagi.

[She reached out again and held his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.]
