Most people aren't assholes for no reason, it's usually because something hurt them deeply. So if you were like that... I'd hope I was understanding enough to not take it personally, I guess.

I let myself be hurt a million times if it meant someone felt loved even once. Everyone deserves that. And it hurts, losing someone...

God, she hates how much it makes her worry about her getting hurt in a place like this. Not that she hasn't been hurt already, but she doesn't want more added to the pile.
