[The day before the Boreas Festival, Naminé quietly knocks on Usagi's door.]

Ah Usagi are you there? Do you have a moment?

[She seems nervous but not her typically nervousness. There's a lot of energy coming off of her that she can't seem to contain. Even still she's smiling quietly to herself.]

[Usagi put down her romance novel and smiled as she opened the door.]

I always have time for you, Naminé-chan! What's up?

[She smiles nervously at her.]

Um well... I was wondering if I could get your advice on something. I uh... th-this is kinda embarrassing. I-I have a date tomorrow, and I've never been on one so...

[lightthedarkness]

Ah! You have a date? Oh my gosh! Naminé-chan that's great! Who's the lucky person! [Does she know them? Does she need to threaten them?]

Ah well um... i-it's with Arden.

[She realizes that Usagi knows him because of Sora, but she hopes for a good reaction.]

I just... don't want to mess things up.

Ah- Arden-kun?

[Her eyes widen only a little, still, she's glad he got over Sora.]

Well, just be yourself, Namine-chan, you can't mess up if you do that. After all, it's you that he likes, so being anything other than that would sorta defeat the purpose of dating you.

But if you want, wearing a nicer dress on your date is up to you.

Myself... right. I-I can do that.

[She nods as she thinks over it. Usagi's advice might go deeper than she intended, but Naminé takes it to heart.]

Ah actually... I think I might have one. Can I show you?

You can, you're a sweet, loving, and amazingly talented girl. And that's all you. So like I said, just be yourself. I certainly love you for you.

And I'd love to see it!

Usagi... [Naminé can feel her face grow warm.] Ah y-yes! Okay.

[She leads Usagi back to her own room to show her the dress she has laid out.]

This is what I had in mind. I-I mean... I like it. It's my style, and I think it's date appropriate? Um...

[It seems like she's mostly made up her mind, but as usual Naminé second guesses herself.]

It's really pretty Naminé-chan! And you'll look amazing in it. [She tilted her head.]

Here, one second...

[She went back to her room and searched through her hairpins before coming back.]

Nami-chan, will you sit on the bed for a bit? [She kept the surprise behind her back, but her other hand was holding a hair brush.]

Thank you, Usagi.

[Naminé stares at the dress for a quiet moment before looking toward Usagi again.] Ah... sure. [She takes a seat, smoothing her skirt out.]

[She gets behind Naminé on the bed and begins to brush her hair, putting the secret item behind her back on the bed where Naminé can't see. She begins to brush Naminé's hair, several hairpins in her mouth as she brushed her hair and then started pulling it back. For at least fifteen minutes she brushed and adjusted Naminé's hair before she pulled her hands back, her surprise now pinned snugly and safely into the younger girl's hair.

She got up and brought her over to her mirror before handing her a smaller one.]

Here, stand right here and look in the smaller mirror at the back of your hair. Nothing too fancy but just a little new.

[Naminé feels a little nervous about Usagi brushing her hair; mostly because she's never been pampered before. She sits very still with her hands in her lap until it's okay to move.]

Ooooh.

[With the mirror in hand, the girl turns her head carefully to see the pins and smiles.]

This is really pretty Usagi! Thank you.

Have to give him some sort of surprise on your first date, nothing too fancy, and your favorite color.
