[It's been a while since Usagi announced herself as an Elios representative, and though Bucky has meant to get in touch with her since, he's been pretty busy with investigations and his hundredth birthday distracting him. He's nearing the trial of a major case when he decides it's time to stop putting it off; he doesn't want to give the girl the wrong impression after all, and it's not like a conversation is going to take up that much time.
So he sends a ping across the amulets.]
Usagi, right? It's Bucky Barnes. Just wanted to get in touch and say congrats about gettin' the other rep position, see if you wanted to talk about anything. Sorry it's been a while, work's been all over the place lately.
Well, if you just had anything in mind about helpin' Elios out. I figure you got it 'cause you wanted to help, but I didn't know if you had anythin' specific in mind. No worries if you don't, though, we'll work on it.
[They can always come up with something with some brainstorming, he thinks.]
Not since the 6th, not that we know of. Hopefully this whole thing'll come to an end soon, though; we've got a trial for the guy we arrested scheduled in a few days.
Well... I haven't been to it... but... his festival is next month, right? Could we do something at that to help? I've been keeping an eye on a new aligned of his. Someone who is clearly trying to balance him all by himself.
Can I ask who the suspect is or does that have to be kept secret and all that?
I guess the flower festival was dedicated to him, huh. [That's more of musing to himself. His first flower festival was way back when, shortly after both Bucky and Elios came to the island. Time flies...] Maybe we could do somethin' for that, yeah.
[Something specifically for Elios that could help. Hmm.]
If you're referring to that guy who seemed mad about havin' feelings anywhere near him, don't worry too much about it. I doubt we're gonna have a Junko situation on our hands.
[Even if that guy keeps hating the idea of love, Bucky has the feeling it'll balance out on its own.]
His name's Abi. I don't feel that bad about sharin' a few details, but you can come to the trial if you wanna know more.
I certainly thought it was! What did you have in mind to do? I'm all ears!
Ah him, yeah, but I'm not worried about him either. Just gotta make sure he's not going to do something stupid. But Elios knows what he's doing, I'm sure!
Er... about Junko... what... exactly happened? I've heard bits and pieces but... what is the whole story? I think it's best I know so I can better understand.
Abi? [The name sounds familiar but she's not sure. She nods.] I might, to support Rei and Sora.
Honestly... I've been thinkin' about maybe finding one of his old places, somewhere nice. I haven't seen him feelin' down in a long time, so I'm sure there's one or two that's not too dangerous, or could have something helpful.
[Maybe? It's just a guess he has. He could be totally wrong. But there's a noticeable pause when Usagi asks about Junko, and there's a space where an exasperated sigh would go, if they were speaking face to face.]
Long story short, she sent so much despair to Peromei that she nearly came and stomped the city flat—on purpose. That's kind of her goal in life, from what I can tell, just screwin' everything up so she can spread despair.
[That was... a time.]
I'm sure they'd appreciate it. I feel for the kid, he seemed real torn up about it, understandably. [He must have really loved that wyvern.]
OH MY GOSH! Bucky! That's a fantastic idea! We could make it a huge surprise! See if we can't ask Thras for protection while we set it all up and then have Elios come down and see life in one of his lands! Think of how great that'll be! You and I can head down there and check out the places, I'll talk to the city and festival officials after we find a place! Think of how amazing it'll be!
[Even as he explains what the situation was with Junko, her excitement about the surprise for Elios can't be diminished.]
What was the result, for Junko, I mean.
Well, I'm there for my family, and Rei and Sora are my precious people.
For the most part? Just a slap on the wrist and some supervision. But far as I can tell she hasn't caused that much trouble since. Apparently Peromei nearly stomped her flat herself when she showed up, but someone stopped her. Probably better that way.
[More despair from dying and yadda yadda. But moving on to more appealing prospects:]
It'll be nice assumin' we find a place, anyway. Still, if you like the idea, it's worth a shot. If you don't mind, uh, you'll probably get along with Thras better than me, if you wanna ask. I can work on figuring out where to go.
Well, I'm glad she wasn't hurt and that Peromei is alright now... or at least, getting better.
Once I get help from Thras we can go down together, check it all out and see if we can surprise Elios! Think of how excited he'll be to see one of his lands restored!
[He's just going to conveniently not mention that he's still a hundred percent okay with Junko being put in a coma or having a lobotomy. Why anyone would care about her getting hurt after knowing what she's really like—aside from being concerned over the despair she'd get from any injury—is beyond him.]
It'll be nice to see him like that, and just nice in general, to see that we're actually making some progress here.

[Usagi Tsukino is a being of light and love the same way Junko is one of despair, it comes with the territory of being a messiah figure. That said, she smiles wide.]
Think we'll manage to have it be a surprise if we really do find a place that we can have the festival?
Well, wouldn't I have to make an announcement to the other otherworlders? It wouldn't just be the natives. Ah well, even if he does find out, the important thing is having the flower festival in his territory!
Hey Bucky! Speaking of the festival, this is my first time going to it! What is it like?
That's true. However it works out, I'm sure it'll be great.
[Bucky can't help but let out a laugh at her question, though only the fond amusement comes through rather than the sound itself. He has a lot of good memories from the flower festivals.]
I'm sure you'll love it. Aside from the crazy flower arrangements and music, they've usually got a bunch of carnival-style games up and markets and that kinda thing. But there's been a few more involved things, like a hedge maze or a team plant-shooting game. I think most people's favorite thing might be the Flower King and Queen contest, though.
Oh my gosh! How fun! Do we get to help choose Flower King and Queen! [Usagi's mind was already on Sora and Minako and so many other nominations.]
Do you and I sit that out as reps? I mean, we should, probably, but it sounds like so much fun if we can nominate at least! I already know who I would vote for!
Heh, no, people nominate whoever they want, pretty much. I was picked as king last year, right after I became a rep. But it wasn't always Elios' festival, anyway—it was only a couple years ago that they dedicated it to 'im.

I'll see if I can get in touch with the usual organizers, too, give 'em a heads up.
