Hey, Usagi, are you there? It's me, Mabel! I wanted to say thanks for letting me stay with you when I needed it.

So...! I may or maybe not have gotten something for you as a to show my thanks!

[It takes Usagi a LONG while to answer this since she's been crying almost daily from the loss of Makoto and Chibiusa, but she tries to calm down for Mabel's sake. She finally answers, her voice a tiny bit raspy but otherwise she sounds fine.]

Mabel-chan, of course we let you stay with us. You didn't have to get me anything though, it was amazing having you around.

What are you talking about? Of course I have to get you something! It'll just be mean if I didn't!

[Although, when she picks up on that slight rasp, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow]

And besides, it might even cheer you up a little too!

Ah, well, I won't say no to a gift. [Partially because that would be INCREDIBLY rude on her part, but mostly because Usagi actually wants something to cheer her up.]

What is it? Don't tell me you knitted me a cute sweater with Luna on it?

[For a moment, Mabel didn't say anything. Instead, she just stared at the communicator before a small pout appeared on her face]

Oh c'mon, that's not fair, I wanted to surprise you! Don't tell me that somebody already told you!

Wait... REALLY! OH MY GOSH! Mabel-chan that is so sweet of you!

Yeah, really! But man, I was really hoping to surprise you! How did you even figure that out anyway?

Mabel-chan, you've been living with us for several weeks now, I've seen how quick you make sweaters and your fondness for wearing them. It was either a sweater or something with glitter, possibly both. But I'll happily wear the sweater, I would love to see it!

Was it that obvious? Darn it, I knew I shouldn't have tried to Mabelify my room so quickly!

[Nevermind that it might as well be covered with yarn and glitter by this point]

But just tell me where you are and I'll let you see it right away!

No no, keep it Mabelified, I like it. Though I think Rei-chan might avoid entering it just so as not to be covered in glitter on her Priestess robes.

And I'm downstairs, actually, in the kitchen if you would like to come join me? Or are you not home?

Don't worry, I'll try to keep it nice and clean! Although, I can't promise that glitter wouldn't escape from time to time!

But yeah, I'm at home right now! Just give me a moment!

[At that moment, should Usagi look around in the kitchen, she'll happen to see one young Mabel Pines with a pink box! Granted, she was hiding it behind her back but...!]

Well, look who it is! If it isn't Usagi in the kitchen, eh?

[Usagi jumped slightly, even though Mabel had announced herself. She had a cup of tea in hand, honey with lemon and she was glad two hands were on it at the time. She smiled.]

Morning, Mabel-chan, sleep well? [She reached out and pulled some yarn from Mabel's hair.]

You bet I did! What about you? It sure looked like you didn't.

[Because despite how cheerful Usagi was, Mabel couldn't help but wonder. Or maybe she prying into things she shouldn't. Either way, that didn't stop the girl from worrying about her friend]

[She winces only slightly at the comment, but she supposes it isn't out of place.

Ah, some people that is... Chibiusa and Makoto have returned home... as have several of my friends. And even though I know I'll see them again... [She took a deep breath.] It just wasn't enough time together here.

[That's when Mabel started to wonder if she shouldn't have said anything. Seeing the slight wince on Usagi's face said it all.

Mabel can relate to that. Maybe just a little]

I think know what you mean. If any of my family and friends just showed up here and then suddenly disappeared? I know it'll suck!

[/blunt]

[She snorted in amusement at Mabel's outright honesty and gently stroked her hair.]

I know your brother isn't here, but if you do get family here, I hope I get to meet them. And your brother is always welcome to stay with us too. Can't break up a bond like that, yeah? [Considering what Mabel has said about Dipper.]

I don't know, Dipper isn't into all that girly stuff. He'll think that he's too cool for that! He's more into the conspiracy thingies and other nerdy stuff.

[Pause] And smells kind of awkward and sweaty too.

Well, girls can like whatever they like. One of my best friends loves to do sports, and she's just as much a shopaholic as I am! Girly stuff is whatever girls like to do. I bet my friend Ami would love to share her girly stuff of loving computers and mysteries too. [She smiled.]

Well, that's what showers are for. [Although Mamoru never had such an issue.] He's going through puberty, yeah? [Shingo was too, and ostensibly, so was Mabel.] He'll get over being awkward, though if he keeps being sweaty you might need to take him to a doctor. [She teased.] But what have you behind your back, missy?

You got a good point there. I know one of my friends likes stuff like that too. I'm still kind of surprised that she and my brother aren't together or something.

[Although, in hindsight, maybe it was for the best. It would be pretty awesome to be the best girl for Candy and Dipper's wedding but alas. It just wasn't meant to be.

Either way, there was a small smirk that was appearing on her face as she took a step back.]

What makes you think I do?

Maybe when they're older? But I try not to force that sort of stuff.

[She quirks a brow and smiles.]

Well, you have't moved them out from behind you even once.

[With the smirk growing wider, she just couldn't take it anymore! As she kept on giggling, that's when she finally showed her what was behind her back!]

Well, you finally caught me! You were just too smart for me, I was hoping that you couldn't catch on!

[As she walked toward the older girl, she could see the present was completely in pink. There was even a pink bow to top it all off too!] It's quite presentable, eh?

[She smiled, not pointing out that Mabel had told her as much, but Usagi's eyes widened at the bright pink present. It made her miss Chibiusa but it was so sweet.]

Mabel-chan, this is amazing. Thank you. Can I open it now?

Of course! It's practically begging you to open it anyway!

[She giggled as she watched Usagi with bright big eyes. All she wanted was for her friend to open the present and see the look on her face as she saw the sweater before her]

[Usagi grinned, this time it reached her eyes as she opened up the gift, careful of the ribbon and wrapping paper inside.

When she saw the sweater, her eyes widened and she ran a hand down the fabric.]

Ah, it's so soft too! [She pulled it out.] Mabel-chan this... this is amazing!

[With that, Mabel couldn't resist a giggle. After all that hard work, she was just so glad to see how happy Usagi was! And especially with a smile on her face too!

It seemed like she needed it]

Glad you think so! It definitely took a while but I'm glad you like it! ...No seriously, it took quite a while!
